Speedometer cable
I am getting ready to install the Mitchell overdrive in my 37. My speedometer quit recently and was "bouncing" since I got the car. There is a spot in the cable housing where it was damaged "pinched" at some point. I assume the cable broke.. Thought I would replace it while I am in there and all the listings I have found for it show the same cable for 32-48. Common part right?? Problem is, no one has it in stock and show it back ordered. Does anyone know of a source that stocks it? Seems like it would be a common part.

Re: Speedometer cable
Joe's Antique Auto lists 2 versions:
SPEEDOMETER CABLES & BRACKET1932-48 Cars & 1932-47 pickups A-17260-B Cable with vinyl covered steel casing, 69-1/2” long ............ 30- 48 16.00 ea B-17260-S Cable with steel casing as original, 71” long ....................... 30- 48 20.00 ea If Joe's doesn't have what you need, he may know someone who has it. Good guy to deal with. Or you should be able to have a speedometer shop make you one with your's as a sample.
