Re: Oklahoma
Thanks we have had 2 tornadoes in the last 2 days one went north of me and todays went south. So far over 30 dead today and a lot of those school kids. This is going to be worse that the May 1999 Tornado that killed over 40 and caused over a billion dollars worth of damage. So far all of our club members in the area have checked in ok.

Re: Oklahoma
Thoughts and Prayers out to those affected. We donated to the Red Cross Disaster Fund tonight.
We had a tornado come threw our area June 1, 2011. We helped with relief efforts for 3 weeks straight. It was so horrible to actually see the destruction that nature can cause. The picture below is from space showing the path of destruction after our first snow storm. |

Re: Oklahoma
We got lucky. Today we were driving the sedan back from the museum opening, and passed through Oklahoma City about 10-15 minutes before it touched down. Once we had heard news of the storm over the cb radio, we pretty much hauled ass back to Fort Worth as fast as we could. I would like to openly thank Ron Kelly for building such a strong motor for us. We installed one of his touring short blocks in our car before the trip. I can honestly say, that is what helped us get away from the storm. I won't say how fast the car was driven, but it's about twice as fast as most of you would drive. The motor held together, and was actually really smooth for the speed.
But back to what really matters. My prayers and thoughts go out to those effected by the storm. I'm incredibly thank full we were able to get away when we did.

Re: Oklahoma
Some were close to us on Sunday but missed. Can not express how we feel about the loss of life there yesterday, especially the kids. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the people affected.
