4 speed transmission
Some time back I recall seeing on line a vendor that was offering 4 speed transmissions for Model A's. It was NOT a S10 conversion. The tube remained in tack. I thought the company was located in Michigan.
Any information would be appreciated. They had an on-line website. Thanks |

Re: 4 speed transmission
I found it but looks like gone to history. The site was modelaonly.com It was a fellow in Texas I believe was building a 4 speed syncro that bolted right up. Site is now gone but I did find a few reviews that were very good. Oh well ....

I got mine from Tim Sheridan in Nunca, MI. His number is 616-837-6477 and his prices were good. His setup uses the stock bell housing, and doesn't have to cut the crossmember. I just cut off the upper and lower ears on the cover of the bell on the front of the drive shaft. He will also shorten the driveshaft if you want or you can have it done locally. The only other thing required was to put two washers under the brake cross shaft to lower it slightly. I went with the trans with the 3.01 first gear and middle overdrive ratio. With a bored and reworked engine, it can still pull up hills in OD. Gets a lot quieter when I put it into OD. __________________

Re: 4 speed transmission
Dave Delmue, I believe. The torque tube, etc. has to be shortened and the gear shifter is a little different than stock. The F150 tranny weighs about 2x the stock A. Check out threads on the BARN for photos.
