Do you even have corn gas in Canada?

That's what I was taught too, Mike, but I don't think that applies to gas. At least not at the local level. I'm just paranoid enough to believe in price collusion.

Not that octane means much to a Model A, here Reg is usually 85 or 86, Extra is 87 to 89, & Premium can be 90 to 92.
Part of the reason octane ratings are a couple points lower in NM is the altitude. Seems 86 in your state is equivalent to 87 out here in Whackofornia. In any case, the A seems to run fine on anything short of olive oil.

I would think for any specialty item (gas included) it would play a big part. If there is only one station in town that sells the "recreational" fuel, he can afford to set his price higher then a town with several stations selling the same thing. Also if there is no demand in either town they would not religate a pump for the fuel and not even offer it.

Can't be.............price fixing is illegal.
It's just a coincidence that two stations next to each other always have the same price.

Mike, that's only in high school text books buddy. Today, real world, it's speculation that sets prices. From inflated housing to inflated farm land to the inflated stock market. The trouble ramping up in the Middle East is bound to influence oil prices once again. Has little to do with S&D. Example: the U.S. is poised to be the world's biggest oil exporter soon. There is a tremendous amount of oil in the South China Sea yet to be developed, (The Golden Dragon) and they say even Russia hasn't figured out yet just how much oil they have.

Now, if they would turn Model A Fords into a speculative venture----- Naw, won't happen!

The pump for ethanol free is the same as E10. If I'm filling gas cans, I'll pump a couple gallons into my truck before putting it in the can. I'm not sure but the line could hold a gallon of E10 and contaminate the pure gas. In my motorcycles a half gallon is a lot of fuel, the A tank isn't very big eather. What would be nice is if they had separate lines.

Just a thought.

We have more oil then we know what to do with, holding tanks are full everywhere and the crude oil price continues to fall.
I can see oil falling to close to $25 per barrel, even today, crude oil price is near $40 per barrel yet the price at the pump remains quite high, gas should be under $1 if Government would get their dick beaters out of it.
Here's something to ponder, oil is not a fossil fuel, it is not made from dinosaurs, it is a natural creation of the Earth, it has been going on since the beginning, and will continue to go on. Pump an oil deposit dry, cap it off, come back in 20 years...lo and behold...it's full again. It is called "abiogenic" and they don't what you to know about that.

Separate nozzles here in Oklahoma, at least that's the way it is at the stations I use.

Real gas $2.29.9 - 87 octane. 10% corn gas $1.89.9 - 87 octane. Not sure on the price of premium. Luckily, I have a Spinx gas station a couple of miles from our place in Summerville, SC.

About $2.80 here for "mid" grade non-ethanol. Hard to find though.

I get it through a Chevron cardlock outlet...they told me their cost is higher per gallon than the ethanol stuff...
