1953 Customline
Here are some pictures of the 1953 Customline I bought about 6 months ago.
Purchased from Brisbane Queensland. Imported from California. Long Beach built. As you can see, the old girl is in pretty straight and original condition. It came with all its books and various brochures. All the instruments, the radio and the heater work perfectly. I am impressed with the fact that the vacuum wipers work when accelerating. The only thing actually missing was the oil bath air filter and i managed to get one from a mate locally. I must admit i particularly liked the sticker. The upholstery is in exceptionally good condition with what appears to be velour like roof lining. Anyway I hope i haven't bored you all. Its a great car to drive and being a left hand makes driving just that bit different. |

I always liked all the jet/plane related trim on the car (there are about 5; 3 actual jets, a plane prop in the grill, and the tail light afterburners), also the Indian spear on the front of the body trim is neat. Have fun! |

Re: 1953 Customline
Really nice to see one that nice in original condition. Somebody really looked after it. I know of a local 53 (Meteor version).

Re: 1953 Customline
The original owner also fitted an alarm system and a kill switch which worked off the loom wires for the neutral switch. Ingenious.

Hi; my best car is a 215 six '53. Question is that a coupe? There was a V8 coupe for sale in Spokane some time ago. These cars move around a lot. Newc
