Default F1 return springs

Been looking all over for info on the proper throttle (V8) and brake return spring mounting locations. Currently the brake return is attached to the clutch cross-shaft via a hose clamp... pretty sure that's wrong. I bought a spring. it's pretty long, looks like it might attach to the flywheel cover/bellhousing?
Anyone have a picture?

Throttle: There is a small hole in the choke bracket, and one near the top of the throttle arm on the firewall (just below the ball where the linkage to carb attaches). The spring goes between them.

Clutch: it's a special spring that corkscrews into a hole in the crossmember on its rear end and onto the end of the pin in the linkage.

Clutch and brake return springs are very similar and beside each other. I posted some photos of a 33-34 arrangement about a week ago. Search "clutch pedal return cluge"

I guess I should've searched for "Cluge", but that's a new word for my vocabulary... seems to fit though.

What you have looks about right.

The brake return spring goes forward, not to the rear like the clutch spring. It is about a foot long. There should be a tab on the starter plate with a hole in it for the end of the spring. Mine kept going missing when installed that way, so I made a little piece out of angle iron with a hole in it, that mounts under the bolt on the flywheel cover that yours appears to be using.

I got tired of paying $8 for the "correct" spring after mine went missing twice, so I went to the hardware store and they had an identical universal spring for $2.

Pic is of mine before I made the bracket

Wow Ross, yours is "pur-dee". Thanks, the hole must be under the gunk somewhere on mine. 8^)
