Steering Box
Newbie questions. How can I determine if I have 2 or 7 tooth box? Also I have grease fitting & not plugs this is correct is it?

If the sector shaft housing is bolted to main casting with four bolts its 2 tooth. Seven tooth has sector shaft housing as part of main casting.

That grease fitting is common, but, the box should have heavy oil in it [ something similar to 600W or heavier] and not grease. Many old garages would use a grease gun full of the heavy oil for such purposes. |
