Wild Fire
I watched an episode of gas monkey garage last week I think it was. They bought a fiber glass car I believe it was called a "Wild Fire". I seem to remember a couple of years or more back someone Had a fiber had a car similar to the one on Gas Monkey Garage that his dad either made it or had something to do with it when it was new. It was build on a Ford V-8 chassis with a Flat Head engine same as the one on TV. He posted a few updates on the restoriation but I never saw it finished. Did he give up on it, sell it, or what ever happened to to it. Just wondering if the one on TV was the same car or one just like it or maybe a different one alltogether. Anyone know what happened with the posted here on Ford Barn??

Re: Wild Fire
I remember the car of which you speak...cannot remember the name of it. The guy was in the Houston area. DD

Re: Wild Fire
Like a skunk in the wind, it's all coming back to me now. The guy's name was Patrick McLoad, and the car was the "Venus". Flatty-powered, if that turns ya on. Click the link below. DD

Thanks, both V8COOPMAN and Mart that is the one I was thinking of and not the same as the one on Gas Monkey Garage. The info Mart posted is the one on Gas Monkey. The one on Gas Monkey did have a Flat Head in it as well as a Columbia Rear Axle. Not sure about the front suspension.

Re: Wild Fire
Yes thats the one. I guess we have to be alone to listen to it, for some reason the ladies just think it's noise while it's music to our ears. LOL The Round engines wern't so bad for me but the Turbines did a number on my hearing. We didn't have proper hearing protection only some ear plugs.
