Hi All, Hoping someone here maybe able to help me identify my brother-in-law's, Ute details. He has a Ford Deluxe Coupe Ute with a body number 51A671026. It is a big restore job and we were just trying to find out some basic details; like year of manufacture and original specs etc. All I can add is it has a slimline rectandular frame around the speedo and a fuel gauge in the sppedo window/ off to the side. Not much to go on I realise, but I was hoping someone here maybe able to suggest where we could go to track down some info based on the body numbers..? Thanks for any advice or any offerings. 51A. Is that a 1946 to 48 ute?
Do u have any pics?

Does sound like a late '40's model, with the '41 dash as used on all RHD's up to '48.
The Aussie Coupe Ute was an all Aust. made model . There are photos & basic info. in 'History of Ford in Aust. [ Norm Darwin; Eddie Ford pub.]] They had lockable tool drawer & spare wheel under tailgate. Nice looking too.
