Default Banjo Rear Axle Rebuilder in Phoenix Area?

Guys,

The late '32-'34 rear axle in my '32 coupe is really howling at speeds over 50 mph under acceleration and deceleration too so I would like to hear any recommendations for a trusted re-builder that if familiar with these early Ford Banjo style rear axles???

Any suggestions or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Tex, are you part of a Phoenix area Regional Group, or know someone who it? This might be a way into the repair network up your way.

Good luck with this....sounds like this really needs to be looked after.....Dick.

Unfortunately I am not, I know Sammy at Arizona Model A and he thought a guy named Troy Jonahs was building them but that was the only lead he had.

For $35 you can join the Early Ford V-8 Club and get 6 issues a year of the V-8 Times magazine, plus a roster of members listed by state. It will give you access to all kinds of great information from club members. One phone call to a fellow member in your area can easily save you the $35. www.earlyfordv8.org.

Tex, persistence pays off!! Good luck with it. If you've not taken one of these out of your car before, you'll also learn something about that part of your power train....some good information here on the Barn on dealing with the transverse rear spring, etc. Keep us posted.

Dick.
