One of my favorite TV shows is 77 Sunset Strip. One of the leads had a new T=bird every year, another had a new Ford, another a Mercury....all convertibles. Poor Cookie, sold his Model A Tudor, and the seldom seen T-Bucket, and ended up driving a Falcon two door. A couple Edsels in there too.

On Perry Mason, he starts out with a 57 Cad, then goes through a series of Fliptop Fords...all black.

Ford was sure generous with the free cars back then.
