Thinking about white walls for my 28 Pickup. Does anyone have photos of a truck dressed up in white wall tires? All I tend to see are black walls.

Have whitewalls on my 1940, because that was all that was handy.
in my opinion, I only like the blackwalls. the whitewalls are quite "showy" on a truck, to my taste. so obviously your choice...... |

Here’s my 28 with whitewalls. They were on when I bought it, but I won’t put whitewalls back on when I change tires.

Black walls, I personally think look best. I have mounted both and would never again use white walls. I am also not a fan of all the accessories owners install. Keep them simple! Just my opinion. |

IT'S YOUR CHOICE! There, I said it. It's like asking people what they think of a baby name you and your wife have thought about and agonized over for months. If you like it, it's no one else's business.

Personally, I like the whitewalls myself and over the years I have had all types of Model As in many different configurations and like the different combos. Bottom line it’s what “you” like as an individual….

Kids and the ladies will like the whitewalls mostly, And most men will not. My observations.

My 2 cents....
Whitewalls look dumb on a pickup. Back in the day, they were uncommon on the average working people's cars and almost never on trucks. Same for bed wood - it should be painted body color. Varnished, polyurethane etc.coated wood is impractical and out of place on a truck. Think lipstick on a pig 😀 But to each his own - its your truck. |

I used the whites on my truck because I had a set of new ones. The truck also has stainless W/S stanchions, stainless cowl band, stainless headlights, stainless tail lights, and stainless radiator shell. All because I had them.It has cowl lights and dual tail lights because I wanted to use them for turn signals. It all added up to too much gaudiness for one truck. My plan is to get rid of the cowl band, stanchions, tail lights, and the shell.I've already gone back to the black headlights.

Now that is one nice looking truck with Whitewalls. I know people say no Model A ever came with whitewalls but I think Henry would have put them on if he was not so darn cheep....Whitewalls make the Model A POP and for some that is just to much.....jmo.

It also may be related to age. I am almost 50 and caught the tail end of everyday cars having whitewalls. Anyone much younger than myself have only seen black wall tires and this would explain why some just do not like them.

I'm a fan of blackwalls, and on a truck I just can't see anything else.
It's a truck. The Roadster HAD whitewalls that's the way we got it but that got changed last fall. Wanna guess what she's running now ![]() ![]() WW's are distracting they take your eyes off the car and center them on, the whitewalls. |

About 20 years ago I had a set of double striped whitewalls.I was going to just blacken the white and install them inside out,but a couple of people suggested that others might like them.I advertised them and got swamped with calls. There's something for everybody.

I had a '30 pickup that had been "upgraded" to stainless radiator shell, stainless cowl band, cowl lights, stainless taillights and whitewalls in the '80s. He kept the black wheels. Not really the truck vibe, but it had major cuteness factor. Person I sold it to changed out the tires to blackwalls. He's happy. If you're not going for points then do whatever appeals to you. And if you're asking the question, it appears that it appeals to you.

Let's see: stainless radiator shell, stainless cowl band, cowl lights, whitewall tires, chrome bumpers, stainless tail lights, stainless headlight buckets. Sounds like the XLT package to me!

I call mine the circus wagon because it's equipped like that.No whitewalls or stainless headlights now though.I'm kind of been looking for plain steel, painted stanchions.I've actually been looking for about 18 years, but the ones I've found seem to be made of gold.Kind of low on the list of priorities in my life.

I think the stainless headlight buckets and grill look good but the original black paint looks nice on a pickup. In my opinion its very distinguishing.
