Anyone have a part # or reference for the rubber?? My plates (40 coupe) are fine but the "rubber" is also,like yours, very brittle.

Go on line to the Drake catalog and you will see it. 81A-791980 Fits 38-40 wagon. Fits under the stainless. May not fit coupe. Check Drake for coupe listing.

1931 flamingo, I'm pretty sure the coupe rubber is not the same as the wagon, which was the subject of this thread.

Mike here are 2 pictures, the first shows the metal strip that holds both the rubber and the stainless by the screws that go into the sill. The second shows the complete stainless and rubber in place.

This is no longer a good source for the 40 wagon scuff plates. He needs to get at least 10 orders at a cost of around $400 per set of 4. I got a nice set made in Escondido, CA area for $300 at another place. It is about 3 miles from C&G. Anyone interested can send me a message for details. He will make one set at a time. They are nice, polished and drilled.
