I was just going through a downloaded version of the South Bend Lathe Co. manual for my 9" lathe and found this... Rather interesting. ws

wish I could read it.I got mine home finally and into its final resting position.It is a south bend also.Where do I find out its pertenant information? I have not really looked it over much.

I have n o idea. IM retarded about the subject as I have not done much with it other than get it into the shop.I will post a pic up tonight and see what you think about the ol gal.

you can always check Lindsey Publications. I have gotten some really nice reprints of original manuals from them, but when they are gone, you have to wait for the next printing.

wish I had a scientific calculator to figure out that manufacture date...

That looks like a light 10 (10" swing). Pull the tailstock off or slide it forward and youll see the ID numbers... easy to get info from there! ws

That was from a data tag on the guard on left end.i will look for id # tonight!

I had to re-look up that manual aand take a stoopid pic of it on the screen! Now I feel like a digitalized model T mechanic !
