37 Tin Side 60V8
Picked up my "60" today. I drove to Michigan and bought a 1937 Tin Side 60 engine some time ago. It was pretty complete sitting on a stand. Returning to Indy i dropped it off at my friends shop Culbertsons Customs for some finish work. Tom Culbertson is a local fab guy thats gets more done than most and has done tons over the years. He built me a radiator mount, a new dash, mounted my period gas tank ( thanks Jerry Weeks), made a battery mount, throttle , installed gauges and wiring, repaired the exhaust manifolds (studs were broken off flush) made up a short exhaust pipe. Charlie on the barn built me a new fuel pump and it runs and has oil pressure .
I plan on using this little engine for some scope ignition testing etc. |

These do make cute little displays. Pretty much worthless in a car to be driven but still - very cute.

Cool little test rig/toy, would look great in a small wooden inboard boat.
