Default 29 Pickup rear bumper

This may have been addressed but I can't find any info in search; Will any of the various rear Model A bumbers do anything to protect the rear of a 29 CCPU? I tried one that I have and its about 6 " in from the rear of the tailgate. It looks ok ,just doesnt do anything to protect the talgate etc. Thanks Rick

Ford did not install bumpers on Pickups. Consequently there are no bumper brackets for them. I have installed a few of them but it requires adding stock to the brackets to extend them out far enough to accomodate a bumper.
