Question welder

HI: Not a model a question but it will help me weld on one. I need to know I have a weld pak 100 by lincolin and I want to know if u can take a mig welder and make it a tig. Some one told me that I could but I don't think that u can so I thought I would ask u guys does any body know if this is possible to do. Thanks let me know reggiedog

no a mig welder puts out constant voltage and i tig runs constant amperage. a basic stick welder could be used with a tig torch and a bottle of argon. you would have to scratch start the torch though

that's kind of what I thought but wasn't sure. I need to get one but no one has one their to costly right now. I did find some one that has one but he is costly to. reggiedog
