Default Title question

Can a title be changed if you cange body styles and paint color? I live in Virginia

Probably. I'd take pictures of the body by itself and the car as it is now and with the new body. Take pictures of all 4 sides and have pictures and pencil etchings of the serial number on the engine block and frame. Best to be prepared with as much as you think they might want to see. They might even ask to see a bill of sale for the body.

Well I dont know about VA but here in NC I "think" you would open up a can or worms you would NOT want! Best to leave well enough alone with the title you have.....

WHY not start with your Dept Motor vehicles??? Color change is usually done on your registration by YOU and then you notifying the DMV. Changing body style is a whole diff matter. If your reg/title says 2 dr, then it could apply to sedan, coupe, cabby, roadster, maybe p/up depending if there is separate for commercial vehicles. OR after changing bodies (which is probably what you're doing) apply for a new title.
Depending on age of vehicle and what state you live in, titles are no longer issued.
