Question wide 5 drums

has anyone found a current production brake drum that can be recut to replace a wide 5 12x1,3/4 brake drum down under they are getting next to unobtainable and the cost to changeover to either 40s or linclons is to say the least eyewatering other considerations are the rules we have here that make it very difficult to make changes

J&G might do fine work but relining drums is a big NO NO down here not to mention 2 lots of freight there and back the costs just keep adding up and then there is the compliance issues to deal with

That's a good question. maybe if wide 5 five drums are 2-piece where drum is joined to hub with studs. was it -39 drums like that?

Something like this could be possible solution. machine centre out, bore holes for wide five, swage it all together with studs:

I do not have any dimensions about these linc drums, maybe somebody here can tell?

I kept trolling ebay, eventually a NOS pair of 36 drums showed up, no other bidders, got them for 19.00$ each .
there was a pair of 37-39 new drums at Hershey this year so they are still out there
