Walt Dupont Gardiner Maine.
A budding flathead rebuilder in Ma. was asking about what ever happened to Walt's fathead rebulding equipment. I don't remember that subject ever being covered on the Barn. Some of the regulars here may have some insight.
He was a wealth of info for us and it was sad to see him fade away...Bill. |

Re: Walt Dupont Gardiner Maine.
Hi Bill, Walt's friend, Jim Fortin, is an engine guy like Walt and has a significant shop. Jim used to do a lot of Walt's balancing. I have two of Walt's engines and both were balanced by Jim. I always assumed that Walt's equipment went to Jims. But Walter had so many friends it's hard to tell. Then there was Walter's 40 coupe, the Model A coupe and his dragster. I'm sure all is in good hands. Yes, it was hard to lose a good guy like Walt.
