I have read in here two times now that engines or the FH has a fixed position when it's shut down. Why is that?

I think there are four possible positions. If it is coming up on compression and you kill it the pressure in that cylinder will cause the piston to go to the bottom. Or something close to that. It obviously will not stop with the pistopn at TDC.
