Default 1948 Canadian Ford F-47

Anybody know how do decode this data plate? Seems like a very early Canadian Ford (F47). Serial number is in the 6000s.

Wondering what color this truck was and what color the interior was.

Looks like your firewall is too rusty or dirty to see through but on my 49 Merc M68 the date is stamped in yellow just below that i.d. plate on the firewall.

Date stamp on mine is just beside the voltage regulator. Colour is red body with black fenders. A very common pattern on those trucks here.

Oh wow ya I don't think that date stamp is gonna be visible but I'm wondering what's going on with the paint code and trim code on the data plate. Seems like way to many numbers. I think maybe they were using 1947 codes? This truck is definitely early '48

Man I feel like an idiot.... after I typed out that maybe these were 1947 codes for paint and trim I googled that and yup! That's what it is. 1947 codes start with the M1

Got the paint figured out. Now I'm wondering about the numbers marked "Trim".

M-18005-C

What could that be?

Also.... that engine number its got an 8BA Flathead in it now with "Made in Canada" in the casting. But that "6E" engine number means it SHOULD have a 59 series flathead in it? Right?

My 1948 M-47 PU had a factory installed 59AB 'made in Canada' with cR-7 heads . It was a November '47 build, unmolested B C Provincial PU. It is now in New Mexico. Newc

Now we're talking. You have any pictures? You know who owns it now?
