You would need to be more specific on how many windows does it have. The five window coupe is a nice car, but the three window coupes seem to command higher prices. Is this an original car or one that has been modified?

Agreed. The funnel in the carb is also not a good sign. Means the car needs gas poured down the carb to start.

Ha Ha the owner here..I did pour gas in the carb for the first start up when i got it out to take pics..It had sat about 6 months..So silly to do that and take a picture..No it is not a 36 engine and am told by a reliable Ford man it isa 38 engine with inserts which is probably a better engine and yes it is still for sale

Not really that difficult to learn. There is also a test page here where you can practice. Do a search for previous posts on how to post pictures here. There have been many. We need to see pictures to help you.

When you click on “post reply”. Look in the top part of the dash board/tool bar for the black paper clip, click that paper clip and the upload box will appear, there are about 6 “browse” lines to up load pictures!!! Be careful of file size as large files will not upload.

Ha Ha owner here and yes for the first start after 7 months sitting i did pour a little gas in the carb rather than wear out the starter but not to smart of me to take a picture with that funnel in there..The engine i am told is a 38 with inserts which is probably a better engine..By the way the car is s still for sale here in canada..Harry

The original poster came on here to ask for opinions on the car before buying it. All we had to go by was pictures and descriptions.

Yes it could be a better engine for a 36 if that is what you are looking for. Appreciate your understanding of what you are selling. I still like the car at 20-25k usd. Guess If i was buying it I would want to kick the tires. Looks very nice.

You'd be in dangerous territory at $28,000. It probably took all of $38,000 to build the car but the brutal fact is....that's not where the market is.

My reasoning for buying a car:
The actual cost is the difference between what you buy it for and what you sell it for. Let's say you bought the coupe for $30000 and drove it for 5 years.Then you get tired of it and sell it for $30000. It didn't really cost you anything. It was free.
If the prices go up in 5 years and you sell it for $40000, you just made ten grand. Garage logic.

I agree that IF a guy buys a car and breaks even when selling, the cost of ownership was quite reasonable. It was not "free" as it costs monies to store and maintain, insure, etc. Still, the fun factor most certainly offsets those expenses.

On the other hand, if you think these cars will appreciate in the next five years, I have some really good deals available to you.

Not as much fun as owning an old car, but a guy can invest $30k and if done properly will have considerably more than $40k in five years.
