Default 1934 4 speed transmission

I have a 4 speed out of a '34 1 1/2 ton truck. Will it replace a 4 speed in a '36 pickup? Thanks for any info.

The BB truck 4-speed transmission is very different from what is used in the car and commercial chassis so it won't work. It will mate with the '34 engine but the mounting supports are different as is the length and other dimensions.

It sounds like he already has a 4 speed in his pickup.

Ford’s four speed offering clear back to 1929-1930 was the spur gear T9. Can’t say for sure , but only difference between pickup and truck may be rear mount. Though rare, I think the same transmission was an option in Model A pickups, not familiar enough to know if there was a rear mount and if it was the same for Model As and Model AAs.
