Default Generator driven tach?

Is anyone running a generator driven tach? I didn't know if the Model A had 3rd parties making them.

I have seen other cars of the era with the attachment at the end of the generator to run a cable.

I used a tinytach from Design Technology, Inc. They make a special one just for a model a
The sensitivity is too high on their std. model This tach is a TT-1C-RXL It is also a hour meter...... both digital readout simple hookup and needs no holes drilled...I ran the sensor cable through the firewall electrical box .

Seems plausible the tach drive assembly from a Ford tractor could be mounted to the rear plate of a Model A generator.

Alternator versions are available too.

That looks good. Now, how accurate would it be?

Generator belt slip makes tach readings unreliable. This was OK on my '61 Vette as when the tach quit working I knew my fan belt had come off. A common occurrence on high HP Vettes.
