Default Minneapolis dective work

So I'm doing my own cut and sew upholstery job on our Tudor. For the longest time I was unsure if it was an original interior as it is very old. I discovered a label from Fabric Supply which is still in business. It was an address label and the shop involved was Loye Upholstery. I did a quick search and found nothing. Do any of you Minneapolis guys know if Loye Upholstery still exists. It would be fun to find out when this job was done. It was well executed but through time had become very tattered. If I had to guess I would think it was done sometime in the early 60s.

Question Re: Minneapolis dective work

I have lived in Minneapolis all of my life, I did a search on Loyes and came up empty. Maybe some other concern took them over.

Thanks Dave! I maybe on to something. Someone by the name of Colleen Loye owned and operated Classtique and sold the company to Elizabeth Estep (sp). I gave them a call last week on a headliner bow question. Very helpful folks. I may call tomorrow and see if I can connect the dots. Cheers, TB

Yes, I visited their shop a number of years ago, they do nice work. Some of our club members have had work done there, located just north of the MPLS St Paul area.

I bought several pre-sewn Model A interiors from Gordy and Colleen Loye back in the 80’s and 90’s......excellent quality and very nice people!

Hey Thank You Jeff. It's been really cool solving this little mystery. Our Tudor was restored at a shop in Spring Valley. It was sold and came to Washington State in the early 80s. I bought the car in 2002.
