At one time MAFCA was more lenient and open to modifiers, I'm not sure this is still true or not as I left MARC several years ago.

I belong to both and find useful information from both organizations.

If you need to choose only one, I would say pick the one that your local club is associated with...assuming you are lucky enough to have a Model A club local enough to you to participate in.

That's a different trend as we have Queen City Model A's that are great but they cover a big area and Charlotte Traffic is just too much for me. Would like to start a Lake Norman NC Model A Club.
