Well, I Finally Got the Title in my Name
Just thought I'd mark the occasion with a thread.
After three years of red tape with the California DMV, they issued me the title for my Edsel in my name. I just received it on Valentines day. I am so relieved. It took constant communications and forms back and forth with the DMV and other third parties to clear a mistake that had been made on the first filing of the paperwork back in 2008. Just thought I'd share and give any warning to those who might be in the same boat living here in California. |

Re: Well, I Finally Got the Title in my Name
When I used to live in CA, I always used my local AAA office to handle all my registration issues. They knew more than the DMV people, they were more courteous and rarely had any long lines. If there was a wait, they had nice comfy chairs to sit in.
And congrats on the title. It's so satisfying to officially say the car is yours. |
