In my experience unless there is a rod poking through the block the ads all say "ran when parked".

I agree yard art. I have a friend who had what is probably the last Model A Ford sold as yard art. Ford had found it abandoned on the vast acreage of the AZ proving grounds and moved it to their picnic area. When Ford sold the proving grounds he was able to buy the shell. He had it at his place in NV but then gave it to a friend in OK. The 2007 bill of sale reads 1 Model A body.

I will send my Mechanic over to have a look at the engine,
just as soon as he's done monkeying around with mine.

You hired a true “Grease Monkey.” He’ll have it running in no time.

Someone save her! I wish my trucks’ hood fit that nicely. My hotrod 29 pickup with mustang running gear started that rough, with a tree growing through it! Perfect candidate for channeling and a roof chop and the chassis and block may still be useable to restorers…

What about this one, starter works, has some compression in each cylinder, enough to run, the clutch pedal sticks but the clutch works, mixture of years, the seat is early 28, the frame and body looks to be 29, the engine is 30, it probably did run when parked, last registration 1958

Kurt, the price on that one is many times the 500.

It’s available, it won’t be me restoring it though i do have curiosity about what is inside the driveline, the rear felt tight, no signs of axle movement in the hubs, I don’t know about restoration, it is quite rusty, was a phaeton, I think it would make a good TROG car to run on the beach. A offer of less than “many times” the 500$ would probably find it a new home.
the gas tank while it is not totally clean inside looks viable, I do have enough to make it run laying around handy except for manifold stud and washers which are hiding from me at this moment.
