Default Roof Sealant

Hello Ford Barners -
What product and process has been successful for sealing an original roof?
Don't want to remove roof, as it is original. Appreciate comments to keep this survivor original and correct.
Thx!

Is it just aroind the perimeter? I have used black silicone in very small beads to seal, but let it cure!Don't smear all over.

My A came with a canvas or duck top, it would get soaked and stayed wet for hours. Back then 1970 suppliers sold a top dressing, first coat soaked in and you couldn’t tell that it was on, after several coatings it repelled rain and snow ! it was my daily driver!
