It just never ends
the bad news never ends, always a surprise of the improper work done by prior owners to cut corners, they welded the studs, the hub is probably warped, the drum was loose when I took it off. This car can be more aggravating then an American women.

Re: It just never ends
I know some fellas go out to the garage and work on their hobby just to get away from an aggravating woman. I don't think the woman even has to be American.
But, you're right. It never does end. As RoseAnn RoseAnna Danna used to say, 'Its always something'. |

i agree with RoseAnn RoseAnn Danna when working on getting the 31 on the road.
Some days I feel like I get a couple steps ahead, then every thing I touch seems to go south. |

Re: It just never ends
Luckily the welds were not hitting the e-brake carrier like they were on the chassis for the delivery. Also the seals were shot so it was all covered with 600W. Everything as far as the rear brakes were a total loss other than the backing plates, this included the shoes with near NOS linings. Rod

Re: It just never ends
Mine were welded on when I got it and have worked well for many years.

Re: It just never ends
Unless they were put in crooked, or the threads are damaged, I wouldnt worry too much about the studs being welded in. You probably wont live live long enough to count all the cars, trucks, race cars etc. that had the studs welded on the back side and were run with no problems.
What was your original problem? Good Luck! |
