Default Cause:Extreme Backfire with Flames

What is cause(s) for extreme Backfire thru carb with flames out carb-retimed,checked distributor for shorts. Any other ideas./ Fellow members car with new engine.Stuck Valve(s)? Been driven for a while should have stated earlier

Also. too lean or timing ( I know you double checked) cam too far advanced when installed with crank gear?

sticking intake valve, weak or broken valve spring, run a compression check

Condensers don't go bad very often, but it might be that. Easy to test for it.

Just lost a nut of a cable at the ignition coil, was the same symptom before
