Cast Blast vs. POR 15 or other for Exhaust Manifolds on 292
OK, so I sandblasted a pair of exhaust manifolds to put on my 292 V8. I have some Cast Blast in my stock to paint the manifolds but have not been overly impressed with its durability. What do you guys think about Cast Blast vs. the POR 15 for painting the exhaust manifolds? I would like to paint them with something to avoid the "rusty" patina look. Just curious what other folks experience has been or if you have any specific recommendations. Thanks.

Jet-Hot Coatings is the way to go.

Will either of those stand up to the heat?
I've done several cast and tubing manifolds with the Jet Hot, and it apppears to last forever. |

The only rattle can paint I have seen that stood up to the heat is VHT ceramic. Its the very best I have seen in fifty years of playing with cars.

Never used POR 15 for exhaust manifolds. |
