Went to a neighborhood parade. Very exciting to see how many little children were there. There were a few modern day vettes and stangs but no other A's...

Update -
Since it is 8 PM I can tell folks what I did today and what I am doing

It rained so i replaced the rotors on my Dodge caravan then rearranged the basement so I could get the wine bottles on the rack. The cases are now off the floor and I have room for about 50 more bottles. After that I got the Model A motor ready to go to the rebuilder. I am still trying to figure out who to send it to, but it is now ready to transport.

Tonight I am enjoying one of the bottles of wine ( a great Pinot from California) watching the Daytona Nationwide race and figuring out where I should order pistons, rods, oil pump, etc. for the Model A

Tomorrow, I will take the T out for a coffee and maybe work on the tires

Hurricane Arthur washed out any plans of driving the Model A in local parades. :-(

Drove 56 mile round trip to a car show. Got up to 53 mph to the delight of the line of people behind me who couldnt pass. No one flipped me off when they finally got around me,so i guess they made an exception for an old car. I want a sign on the back that says " Lets see how fast you are if you get to be this old"

After fixing some electrical issues with my new 1950 Studebaker, I took it out for a shakedown cruise today, as well as a small photoshoot. It ran great and recieved a lot of praise and questions. A couple people asked "what is it?" And here I thought everyone knew what a bullet nose Studebaker was. I put on about 100 miles and enjoyed every minute of it.

The buildings in the background is where I worked after graduation, and was my first full time job. Many of the buildings are now empty and neglected. What a shame to see nice old buildings going to ruin.

These pictures can mislead you about the real condition of the car's paint. This is a 20 year old restoration using laquer paint. It has several fine cracks in the paint, and it's flaking off in a few small spots. This car is an example of why I like to look at something in person, go home and think about it, then come back and look at it a second time. It turns out I was very lucky that someone didn't buy it while I thought it over. It was on Craigslist and only 5 miles from my house.

The first two things I saw when I checked out this car were the two worst things about the car. The rear leaf springs have bad rust pits and some of the lower cowl area wasn't prepped well before the paint was applied. After buying the car I really gave it a going over and everything else was done with care and NOS parts when possible.

Now that this one is road ready, I can get back to my 28 Phaeton and finish the coolant rust issues. Hopefully the Evaporust has done it's job.

My wife and I marched in the Rockwall, Texas Parade. I'm in the SAR, and my uniform/costume is a replica of that worn by my patriot ancestor in the Second South Carolina Regiment.

I had a great time in the Washington, DC parade. Super weather and huge crowds. We were to follow the DC roller Derby Team. They demanded a photo on me and my Model A. What was I to do??

I tried to add a photo but no luck

Went to Michigan's Upper Peninsula with the model T for Grandma's 100th birthday. Pictured is me, the missus, and The Birthday Girl.
