Default How to get a Senior discount.

Ask for it.

I usually do at McD's and places like that, but yesterday I was in my local auto parts store picking up some seat belts for my A, and I asked for the discount at the checkout. The guy looked at me like he was going to check my ID (ha!), then said, "Yes, we do." I got 5% off. Not much, but every little bit helps.

I was in Burger King or Wendy's and asked for a water with my burger. The salesgirl asked if I wanted a free senior's drink. I had not heard of that before.

It's funny when these kids are confronted with the senior question. Many won't ask if you want the senior discount 'cause they can't tell if you're 40 or 90 and they don't want to insult anybody. Everybody over 35 looks old when you're 18. :-)

Good on you, Fred. It's a good thing it doesn't rain much in Oregon.

When we were in Redmon for BMW rally in 2001, July, we headed for Crater lake on Motorcycle and it came a pretty cold rain on the way there.
One of the best trips we have made, beautiful country.

Along these lines, a cast memeber at Disney had to learn tact when he approched a pregant woman on line for a ride and told her it was not safe for women who were pregnant only to find out that she was not pregnant. He tells now how when he thinks someone is pregnant he goes to the nearest kid and asks them, the kids laugh and person, if they are pregnant, hears and gets the message, if not everyone just gets a laugh.
