Re: Zenith rebuilds
Get a rebuilt Zenith from Berts!
I have been running Tillotson's ever since I got my car 10 years ago. Every year I had to pull them apart and re-file the top flat due to warping, gas leaks all the time etc. . . I recently purchased a rebuilt Zenith from Bert's and it is the greatest thing I have added to me model a since I got it. This thing idles perfect, runs out good and responds to adjustments. It also looks great. Stop messing around and just buy the real deal - they work great!

Re: Zenith rebuilds
Sure sounds like you are going with a new Carb. After you get it and you still have a problem, check for an intake air leak. Put new manifold gasket on. Easy job. Also, make sure the two flanges where the carb attaches to the manifold are FLAT. They warp and leak air. Hit them with a file and clean them up. Do the manifold on the car using a light and mirror and a big file. We just fixed a car by just tightening the manifold nuts. Easy to fix, but hard to find. Good luck.
