Easter bunny left some not too nice eggs this morning for me.
Woke up at 4:50 a.m. to our weather alert radio going off. Within a minute the Easter bunny was dropping us a healthy supply of frozen Easter eggs.
Lots of holes in my siding, gutters bashed up, vehicles etc... Just had a new roof put on a couple years ago. Hope it is okay. Too dark to see everything yet... Happy Easter! At least my AA was tucked safely in the shop. Picture of the eggs in my wife's hand.

Dave: Ouch!!! That's what home owners insurance is for. Now your wife can pick a color for your new siding. Thankfully no hail here in Wisconsin. What about other areas?

I have never seen hail so big. That will kill you faster than your A goes putt putt.

I'd say that kinda easter bunny can just stay away. I shoot as many rabbits as I can cause they are so hard on my fruit trees, but its been a while since we had any of those kind of easter eggs! The trouble is, you'll end up paying for it twice. We had 2 homeowner claims and our insurance doubled. Would've been further ahead just paying to have it repaired.

It was a heck of a way to start the day. It's only stuff and it can be fixed.
Got our two boys home and will be spending quality time with them today. It's all good.

Thunder storms are an amazing weather event. A tiny droplet of moisture freezing and then growing as it travels upward thousands of feet before falling to earth.

June, 2019 with a new truck, got hailed on. Not bad but about $1800 worth of damage. Paintless dent repair did a great job. Not sure if I'm going back to Omaha. Good you had Old Bill in the shop. |

Re: Easter bunny left some not too nice eggs this morning for me.
We had hail about that size a few months ago. Now, there are cheap cars going everywhere and I reckon they would be more fuel efficient than undamaged ones. After all, they put those little "dents" in golf balls so they would fly further.
We suffered damage to our cemper - the one we tow around the outback and getting it repaired is at a stand still till this virus shutdown is over. Other than that, we were lucky. Others not so much. Even with my hands over my ears, the noise of that hail hitting our corrugated iron roof was deafening. I found several dead birds, killed by the hailstones.

You know padded vinyl tops?
If you want to hide hail damage on a car, i find putting that same padded vinyl over the whole body works wonders. And it never really dents again.

Wow!!!! I'd say that was actually scary, hearing that hit the house. It's just stuff but I hate to see people's stuff get torn up. Hope your roof is ok as that can be a huge headache.

Re: Easter bunny left some not too nice eggs this morning for me.
That is some large hail. Years ago in Boulder, CO got caught in a hail storm at a stop light in front of the IBM plant there in a VW Beetle. Had to use a blanket against the windshield to keep the hail from coming through. Never heard so much noise. The hail got up to close to soft ball size. VW did not have a straight panel anywhere. Looked like someone used a sledge hammer on the vehicle. There were about 5k cars hit that day so the price for repairs doubled over night. Hail went through the roofs of convertibles like was nothing. Hail even bent the hoods on the stop light lenses

Silly me, I assumed Native Indians here in the U.S. Was wondering what crops got destroyed this time of year. Thanks for the link clearing this up for me.
