Default Best jacking point for a Model A pick up

I wanted to raise my front end to do some specific projects on my 1930 Model A pickup. I wanted to put some ramps beneath the two front tires and can't drive it up on them as i have the wiring out at the moment. I am not so sure the jack stands I have would work beneath the car with it up on ramps. I have fiberglass front fenders, so I didn't want to stress anything in lifting the truck up high enough to get it onto the metal ramps.

What would be the best and safest way to get this truck up onto those metal ramps? If I push it up on them by hand, the ramps have a tendency to move.

On my Smart Car I can use my motorcycle lift and get it up high enough, but I don't believe that is the case with my Model A pickup.

The truck is inside my garage and that is where I want to work on it. No chain hoist or such out there. :-)

Any tips or recommendations?

Thanks.

Thanks, I had done that before with my tudor and fordor sedans, but didn't know if the truck was any different or not.

I jack mine up in the center of the front axle, but immediately put a pair of jack stands as close to the spring perch bolts as I can and then let it down. This puts the weight as close to the spring perches, transferring the load to the crossmember.

The axle CAN bend, and I feel like too much up and down in the center over time flattens out the smile of the axle, and changes your camber slightly. Being overly cautious, but it works for my brain.

That is what I do, but I put a rag or two in between where the jack top hits the axle. And depending on what type of jack raiser head on the jack, in addition to the soft rag, I sometimes put on the jack head, a piece of soft wood (redwood or pine) to help reduce and mitigate the iron-on-iron contact.

Coupe,
If you run some DABBY-DOO arc welding on the bottom of your ramp legs, they're less likely to SKID! One Guy even LAG bolted them to his floor.

As many things as I have found where the previous owner didn't do something correctly or failed too do maintenance on things, I am almost afraid to lay down and get beneath the truck. I know he had some pan bolts which were either missing or broken off. However, I did get the pickup up on the ramps today and didn't kill myself in the process, so far.
