Let me correct myself here. The washer OD must not be larger than the actual serrated area of the machined block or the washer cannot seat properly to be crushed.

Ah, the Dorman part number I referenced earlier had too large an O.D. That may be why they did not seal. They were also a little thicker. The Ford part 2154 is barely bigger than the hole and thinner. I swear the last time I ordered them, they had the concentric rings on the flat part already. I have some more on order so will take a close look.

Thanks for the pointer to NAPA. I had no luck at Autozone, Advanced Auto and O’Reilly.
The part that was an exact fit from NAPA was: Part Number: 1244 On the box of quantity 10, this was printed: 1244 1947 (10) Copper Gaskets Hope this helps. |
