Default Brake shoe grinder.

Hi guys, I am looking for an instruction booklet for a Barrett Brake Shoe Grinder, bench top, model #B-74. I would guess the booklet wouldn't be very long. Copied pages would be quite satisfactory. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Dale Gosa.

Dale.. I have a couple of shoe grinders.... but no booklet. They're pretty simple to use... if you find something please let me know as well... might be nice to just have the documentation.

If you get the manual please pass it along to me. I have a couple of Ammco manuals and the Brake Doktor manual all in PDF. I pass them along when others ask.

Thanks guys, lets keep searching. Kevin, do you think the Ammco manual would be similar? I doubt these machines are not too much different as to how to use them?

I've had good luck finding reprints of manuals on E-bay

I do not know what your tool looks like, but the ones I have seen were different.

They are really pretty simple. You set them up to do a base radius, 11" and then make the radius to be like (if I remember properly) .001" smaller then the diameter of the drum.

You just have to play with the system to figure it out. Make sure you have cleaned all the dust off first with soapy water. Then only use modern safe shoes.

I can supply an instruction booklet of pages for the Barrett B-72,B-74, and B-75. Don't have a manual for the B-350 or B-375. My copy is not the prettiest, but is readable and free by email. Just email me with a request to [email protected]. Also have manual for the Barrett 500 series of drum dokter. Also instruction sheet to install the Roto-Truer attachment to the B500. Can supply copy by email of Ammco shoe grinders as well.
