It´s possible use an another wood like the oak... One property of the ash wood are the flexibility and this is the reason by Ford´s use this ash wood on the T´s wheels... The ash wood resist the water?, or the rot... |

this should be another thread , a very good topic for those doing their own fabrication work as the oak tends to be handy in the shop it ends up in the place of wood that is more suitable for the job.. good work!!

Re: Model A commercial vehicles picture thread!!
We visited the Elkhart IN, RV museum and they had a Model ‘A’ camper on display. The pictures are not the best, I took them with my cell phone, but notice the wood burning stove.

Re: Model A commercial vehicles picture thread!!
Here is picture that I picked up at a flea market last week, it was big enough that I had to scan it 3 times to show it. Does anyone know what the slogan over the top of the bed is supposed to read? Thanks .....Clyde

Re: Model A commercial vehicles picture thread!!
If someone could scan all the photos of the Commercial vehicles that were published in the Ford News publication (1928-1931), we would have a ton of other photos!

Re: Model A commercial vehicles picture thread!!
I have a question about the model A body styles, in the STEVE PLUCKER study "LETTERS, NUMBERS AND CODES" figure the (canopy top) 65-A light commercial body, this body is the same like a Huckster?
