1929 Fordor Windlace Front Doors Mounting Location
Q. 1929 Fordor Windlace for the Front Doors, Mounting Location. Is the front lateral windlace strips that are parallel to cowl panels/Front Window Pillers mounted to the door or on the side with the panels/Pillers.
I have some remaining material artifacts that indicate on our car it was mounted with/along cowl/pillers. What has me questioning my assumptions is I have run across photos of some cars having it mounted on the door. Thanks Dan |

I had it originally mounted on the Piller. I found a few photographs yesterday in Model A books and it appears that for the four door cars the windlace was indeed mounted on the door ... same as yours. I will say what a pain to install especially if door panels are not original. Many an hour getting everything aligned right especially to avoid binding on the windlace. Thanks so much! |
