Default B block

I'm cleaning up a B block and noticed these stamped numbers. On the number pad typical on Model As is *R4M9390*. On the manifold side is 25938. They all look like Model A numbers. Do these numbers mean anything? I always thought that B blocks didn't have numbers.

On the # pad, its not a Ford #. On the RH side of block, the # 25938 may mean 25th day of Sept 1938.Industrial engines were made for a # of years after model "B" car production stopped.`It should have the C B crankshaft.
