engine stand for 1951 v8
Looking for an adaptor for my engine stand so I can put my 51 ford flat head v8 on it. Where can i buy something like that?

Like V8 Bob" said, you don't really need one for an 8BA, but the side mount can be handy to have sometimes. You could try Stumpy's Fab Works.

The bell part of the 59 series & earlier V8 blocks are not a real thick casting so those are the ones you have to worry about.

I bought the flathead cradle,and lift plate from him. Found a used stumpy engine stand adapter and bought that also. Working on stripping two flathead's both stuck. |

You don't need a bell housing adapter to bolt your complete 8BA to engine stand. In fact, it would be dangerous to use one as they are not as strong as the block itself. Grade 5 bolts work just fine also. Use an engine stand with 4 big casters for max safety and best balance.
