Mushroom lifters – Any advice

If it's ground mushroom proper and you use a 1" lifter, the lifter foot would dig into the cam lobe at maybe 1/2 it's total lift. Remember the lifter starts to lift from the middle and as it lifts the lobe contact point travels out to the lifter outside edge.
Watch out for this when you test assemble. That is if it's ground for the mushroom lifter.
