Question What size is this screw?

I'm in the process of installing a temp gauge in the 29 Coupe. I bought the gauge bracket that uses the 2 mounting screws on the bottom of the dash panel. One of the srews is missing. What size are these screws? Are they available at the corner hardware store or am I going to have to go with a vendor? Thanks, Smitty

Take the good screw to Ace Hardware or Menards. One of them will have it. Try and get 2 stainless steel screws. They polish up real nice.

Don't the parts catalogs tell you what screws to use on your dash?

Smitty, it's been my experience that the two bottom dash screw holes on the '28-mid'30 style dash, if it's a repop. don't want to line up very well. At best you can get maybe one screw in. Probably why you are missing one of them.

I thought about that. I took the one bottom one out and had to loosen the top 2 screws to get it in the other hole. I'll take it to the hardware store tomorrow and check and see what they have. Thanks, guys!

I have a hard time finding Oval head SLOTTED screws around here. I get them from McMaster-Carr. Unfortunately you have to buy them in BULK. Share with your friends
