Default new vacuum line

Im trying to put a new vacuum line in my '30 tudor sedan so i ordered new parts from the manifold to the wiper. My car never had a wiper line in it, at least not when my dad bought it 45 years ago so he;s not sure how it all connects either. My biggest issue is concerning the tube that runs up the windshield post. Its a metal tube about 2 feet long wioth a 3 inch bend at on end. Its supposed to connect at the firewall and run up the side but it obviously isnt shaped right. AM i supposed to bend it or something? Does any one have any info or photos to help? Thanks.

It connects on the passenger side of the firewall and runs along the side of the cowl just behind the support. It then goes up the windshield post and then makes the turn at the top of windshield. From there a rubber line runs the rest of the way to the wiper.
