The dipper tray was lowered in late 1931 for the Model A in order to accommodate changes designed to reduce oil consumption while better distributing oil throughout the tray. This was carried forward with the Model B. A Model A dipper tray made previous to this change will be situated too high for a Model B engine and may result it rod dippers striking the tray.

If the dipper tray was lowered how was that achieved? was the B pan d.tray changed or was the oil pan indention's reposition , lowered for the d. tray ?

If you have a drilled crankshaft and pressure lubrication, you can just leave out the dipper tray.
