Flywheel Housing Bolts
Hi,
Working on my 1930 coupe as I can find time. It took me a while to align my flywheel housing but with using laminated horseshoe shims cut from main bearing shims I am happy with the result. Left the assy set for 24 hours for final check. Then I decided that the bolts were secure at 55 ft/lbs, no lockwashers. Figured bolt heads tight on cast iron. Now after I have assembled flywheel, clutch and pressure plates my ocd is kicking in and I am concerned that I didn't apply Loctite to those 4 bolts. Part of my brain says it is good as original and a nagging part says tear it apart. Opinions? Thanks, Jerry |

Re: Flywheel Housing Bolts
no lock washers or Loctite needed. BUT they are drilled for lockwire

Re: Flywheel Housing Bolts
From the picture, it looks like you have lockwire in place. Nothing else needed.
