Morning Coffee Safety Lesson
On my A.M. walk to Dunkin' Donuts I came across this. I went back for my camera.
Check out: Driveway pitch Front wheel blocking Full extension stand, leaning back at pitch angle |

Some people are bound and determined to hurt themselves no matter what we say. At this point, I hope there is only one sidewalk, and its on the other side of the street.

Re: Morning Coffee Safety Lesson
Years ago I had as clients two bothers who decided to make their vehicle inspection-worthy by welding a crack in the frame. Veterans of a high school welding class, they rented a welding kit, including mask. They failed to notice that there was a large hole in the mask. Brother #1 started the job while brother #2 was at work. Brother #1, quickly (and, happily, temporarily) blinded, was soon at the local ER. Within 15 minutes, Brother #2 arrived home to see an idle welder he had "paid good money for" standing idle. Cussing #1 for "laziness," #2 crawled under the car to finish the job... only to end up in the ER before his brother was discharged.
No permanent injuries. Car failed inspection, anyway. True story. |

Re: Morning Coffee Safety Lesson
Having been a police officer for 30 decades, I saw way "TOO MANY" deaths caused by this same type of thing. MikeK, your picture brought back many pictures in my mind of some of them. I hope it didn't spoil your coffee and "Donuts". I can still see the grieving families. I can't describe what this type of stupidity did to some of these people on this site.

Re: Morning Coffee Safety Lesson
LOL, he would be better off backing the car up the drive way, at least that way when it falls it would just mash him some but not run over him, you can cure ignorance but you cant do a thing about stupidty, i wonder if it made it on the t/v program a 1000 ways to die?

Well Brian, you caught me on that one, about 27 too much. Thanks. I guess I was just over-excited after seeing this kind of thing again. Been gone 19 years......

Re: Morning Coffee Safety Lesson
Apparently what is going on, With the pitch of the driveway, he could not check his oil level with any accuracy, so he raised the rear of the car to make it sit level so he could get an accurate reading.

Dim and flawed understanding of things like mechanics and gravity can get serious... But the case above is EASY...just tilt the camera a tad and reshoot! Problem solved! |

lyrics–Mark Graham Listen Here Life is hard, but life is hardest when you’re dumb No joie de vivre, just endless hours of tedium With a negative IQ you’ll be lonesome sad and blue Life is hard, but life is hardest when you’re dumb Life is hard, but life is hardest when you’re dumb You wait for years, but inspiration never comes Thoughts you don’t have remain unheard because you cannot find the words Life is hard, but life is hardest when you’re dumb Life is hard, but life is hardest when you’re dumb Between your ears a dark and silent vacuum If there’s a void behind your face why not rent out the vacant space Life is hard, but life is hardest when you’re dumb Life is hard, but life is hardest when you’re dumb Why not just lay back and smoke a bowl of opium If being stupid is your fate just relax ’cause it’s too late Life is hard, but life is hardest when you’re dumb
